Hospitals in the West

The hospitals in the west are an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consist of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

About us

We are part of the operational area of Geriatrics, Neurology, and Rehabilitation, and you can find us at Kungälv Hospital. Kungälv Hospital has completely newly built premises. In the department, patients are cared for in their own rooms, which are also equipped with the latest technology in the field. The department is equipped with an advanced patient call system that contributes to a quiet care environment. Here, we actively work to ensure that all employees from different professions are offered the best conditions to utilize each other's and the patients' resources and competencies.

We are looking for

We are now looking for nurses who want to work on an hourly basis and intend to work during the day, evening, and night by agreement. We offer you a varied and enjoyable job with good support from colleagues and the unit manager.

About Ward 6

With us, we primarily care for patients who have suffered a stroke but also patients with other internal medical diagnoses. The ward has 16 beds, and as a nurse with us, you will work with the acute phase of the stroke process together with nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists in interdisciplinary teams.

About Ward 5

We are a smaller geriatric orthopedic acute care ward (GOA) with 10 beds. With us, we care for individuals with hip fractures and other osteoporosis-related fractures. As a nurse, you will work with the entire team consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

In the role of a nurse, you will take personal responsibility, and it is therefore important that you are secure as a person and that you work from a person-centered approach. You enjoy meeting people, are attentive and empathetic, and have a willingness to collaborate to provide the best care and quality for our patients.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with experience in stroke care, orthopedics, or elderly care.
