Temporary Position as Nurse at the Gastrointestinal Center

Do you want to work closely with patients suffering from gastrointestinal diseases and develop your skills as a nurse? We are now looking for a colleague for a temporary position of about one year at the Gastrointestinal Center.

About the position

We are a specialist clinic and day care unit that receives patients for investigation, assessment, and follow-up of gastrointestinal diseases. With us, patients receive support both before treatment, as part of their ongoing care, and during follow-up visits after inpatient care.

Our day care is specifically adapted for patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), where we offer medical treatments such as infusions, injections, and nutritional drops. As a nurse with us, you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in both medicine and surgery for IBD patients.

Your tasks will include:

  • receiving patients for assessment, follow-up, and treatment
  • administering infusions and injections
  • collaborating with doctors and other professionals in the team
  • providing telephone advice
  • assisting in sigmoidoscopies/colonoscopies
  • working with wound care
  • contributing to the development of the operations and creating security for our patients
  • working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues

We offer daytime work Monday–Friday in a stimulating work environment with a focus on patient-centered care and professional development.

We are looking for someone who

  • works independently and confidently, but also knows when to seek help from colleagues for the best patient care
  • is flexible and adaptable, and can meet both planned and unexpected situations with calm and engagement
  • takes initiative and contributes to developing work routines and creating improvements for both patients and the team
  • communicates clearly and empathetically, creating security and trust with both patients and colleagues.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Swedish nursing license
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience as a licensed nurse
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

  • Experience working with Always Open and TeleQ
  • Knowledge of surgery.
