About us:

The Habilitation Center Flemingsberg for children is a specialist outpatient clinic offering services to children aged 0-17 with permanent disabilities such as intellectual disabilities, movement disabilities, and autism.

The operations are conducted in a multidisciplinary team together with a social worker, speech therapist, psychologist, physiotherapist, special educator, and occupational therapist. Here you will have the opportunity for broad professional development with tasks that do not have a single correct answer. Our clinic is located near Flemingsberg center opposite Huddinge hospital.

About the position:

As a physiotherapist within habilitation, you will have an independent, varied, and stimulating job. You will work with patients across a wide range of diagnoses and disabilities such as cerebral palsy, muscle diseases, chromosomal abnormalities, autism spectrum disorders, and intellectual disabilities. Your work will include motor assessments, mapping, prescribing and following up on assistive devices, as well as treatment, both individually and in groups.

You will establish care and action plans in consultation with the patient and their network to achieve a shared understanding of interventions and participation. Your treatments aim to support the child in their motor development to provide maximum independence and optimize the surrounding environment based on the existing conditions. The work also includes consultation and knowledge transfer to relatives and staff in the patient's immediate environment.

We collaborate with healthcare neighbors, municipal services, and other authorities, as our patients often have complex needs. We are currently looking for a physiotherapist to join our team working with patients with movement disabilities.

About you:

We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist; you are structured, meticulous, and at the same time flexible to handle and enjoy the varied work content in our operations. Experience in habilitation and/or with our target group, as well as experience working with interpreters, is an advantage.

You are an initiator who is engaged in finding solutions focused on the patient. You enjoy working both independently and in a team and take responsibility for planning, developing, and driving patient work forward. With us, you need to have the ability to collaborate and be driven by collegial learning as you work closely with other professional categories in your unit. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Habilitation & Health is part of the Stockholm County Healthcare Region (SLSO) within Region Stockholm. We are a knowledge organization that conducts its own research and development and operates several specialized units. We consist of approximately 700 employees and 30 clinics in Stockholm County.
