About the Department

At Alingsås Hospital, emergency care and inpatient care are provided in medicine, cardiology, surgery, urology, and orthopedics. The hospital is organized into four areas/clinics. Within the hospital area, there are also external services such as occupational therapy, pediatric and adolescent medicine clinic, blood center, day care, laboratory, medical technology, orthopedic technology, physiotherapy, as well as Västfastigheter, Regionservice, and Primary Care Office.

The laboratory medicine department in Alingsås includes Clinical Chemistry and Transfusion Medicine with 20 employed biomedical analysts and nursing assistants. We provide diagnostic services around the clock to the hospital's clinics and health centers within the catchment area. The clinic is accredited and has modern analytical equipment.

Job Responsibilities

We perform various chemical and hematological test analyses for all hospital units and surrounding primary care. The work also includes patient sampling and blood donor tapping. As a service unit, we focus on the patient and continuously work according to methods that provide added value for both patients and clients.

After training, your employment will include work around the clock and weekend work.

About You

We are looking for a licensed biomedical analyst. You are expected to have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work environment. As a person, you are responsible, quality-conscious, and able to adapt your work pace to meet the unit's varying needs. You have a respectful and pleasant demeanor towards patients, clients, and colleagues.

Experience in clinical, chemical, hematological work, and transfusion medicine is an advantage. Experience with night work in clinical chemistry is also an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and flexibility.
