Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different job roles. We are growing in line with the municipality's development, with more residents, more housing, and a larger range of services. We are always on the lookout for new talent - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better municipality to visit, live, work, and reside in.

Are you a licensed nurse with experience in care and nursing? Do you enjoy varied workdays and want to follow patients over a longer period? Then you have a job to apply for.

Join us in developing the municipal health and medical care in Sweden's ninth largest municipality!

Your New Job

As a nurse, you will be responsible for both planned and acute health and medical care interventions within both special housing and regular housing. You will meet patients of different ages and work closely with primary and hospital care to tailor care interventions to individual needs. We work based on person-centered care, which means giving patients influence, the opportunity to take responsibility, and experience security in their homes. With us, you will have the opportunity to follow patients over time and contribute to continuity in care.

In this role, you will independently make medical assessments and perform treatments and interventions. You will also guide and teach nursing staff, as well as patients and their relatives to ensure good quality in care. You will also participate in development and quality work.

Your Competence

  • You are a licensed nurse, and if you have a specialist education in, for example, elderly care, palliative care, or district nursing, we consider it an asset.
  • Experience working in care and nursing, such as a nurse or nursing assistant, is desirable.
  • You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills.
  • You have good physical mobility as the work takes place in home environments, and you need to adapt your work methods according to the conditions available.
  • A driving license (B) is required as a car is used in the job.

As a person, you are empathetic, structured, and attentive - it is important that information about care and treatment is provided in a respectful, attentive, and empathetic manner. The patient's safety, security, and well-being during examinations and treatments are ensured through good judgment, knowledge, accuracy, and information. We see that you possess these qualities and place great importance on personal suitability!

We Offer You

When you start with us, we will together develop an introduction program tailored to your experiences and qualifications. If necessary, you will receive guidance from experienced colleagues to help you settle into your work safely. We work with close and trust-based leadership where you have the freedom to independently plan and structure your workday. As an employee of Jönköping Municipality, you will receive a secure employment and also benefit from general perks such as wellness grants, paid vacation during your first year of employment, and a generous flex-time agreement.
