Job Opening: Production Manager at Nordkalk

About the Position

As a Production Manager at Nordkalk, you will lead the daily operations in the quarry and ensure that production flows smoothly and efficiently to meet customer deliveries. Your focus will be on optimizing operations, problem-solving, and managing risks in a dynamic environment.

The production encompasses all stages from extracting stone in the quarry to loading finished products onto ships.

The production utilizes a combination of construction machinery as well as stationary and mobile crushing and sorting plants, along with a significant number of belt conveyors. You will be part of the team at Storugns and report to the production manager.

Your Main Responsibilities Include:

• Overall leadership responsibility for parts of the production team, a group of about 12 employees.
• Drive a safe execution of production.
• Proactively review, evaluate, and plan improvements.
• Lead and develop our staff.
• Planning and coordination of blasting, production, raw material handling, material flows, and loading.
• Adaptation to changes and management of unforeseen events.
• Conduct basic administration.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with leadership experience in an operational production environment, preferably with experience in quarrying, construction, or mining industries. Alternatively, you may have experience in a similar role within the industrial or construction sector. You are attracted to a broad area of responsibility, have some form of leadership experience, and likely have experience in developing and maintaining processes and working methods. To succeed and thrive in the role, you possess a technical understanding of machinery and production equipment. Furthermore, you have knowledge and experience with ISO standards, documentation, and quality requirements.

You hold a valid driver's license (B).

You are accustomed to making decisions independently and are driven to create a well-functioning and efficient production. To succeed in the role, you have a good ability to interact with different types of people and thrive in an environment where conditions can change at short notice.
