At the Community Planning Administration, we aim to make Köping an attractive and environmentally sustainable municipality. We have about 45 employees responsible for the municipality's detailed and comprehensive planning, land and development issues, property matters, port management, nature conservation, strategic environmental work, building permits, environmental issues, and the municipality's mapping and GIS activities.

In the environmental unit, we are 15 people working on behalf of the Community Planning Committee. Our areas of work include environmental and health protection supervision as well as food control. RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a temporary environmental inspector with a focus on food control. As an environmental inspector, you will work both independently and as part of the environmental unit's food group. The main part of the work consists of conducting inspections of food businesses based on applicable legislation, handling registrations and complaints of various kinds, drafting service letters and decisions, and providing information, guidance, and advice to entrepreneurs and the public.

This is a varied job, which means participation in planning as well as inspections, as well as written reporting and documentation. The work involves many contacts with business operators, other authorities, and the public.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a college or university degree in the food area and/or work experience that we consider equivalent. You should have good knowledge of food legislation, regulatory work, and preferably municipal administration. It is also an advantage if you have experience working in a politically governed organization.

We place great importance on your personal qualities, and you who apply for the position are both engaged and solution-oriented, while also being structured and results-oriented. The work is outward-facing and requires a good ability to conduct trustworthy regulatory work in meetings with people. This means that you should have the ability to understand different types of situations.

It is also important to us that you can communicate both verbally and in writing clearly.

You also want to contribute to the common goals of the workgroup and the environmental unit and enjoy working both independently and in a team. Since we work with regulatory enforcement, it is important that you are reliable, self-assured, and can remain calm in pressured situations. You can make independent decisions and maintain a high level of service with a professional approach.

Driving is part of the job, so you need to have a B driver's license.
