About the Job

Working data-driven with the customer in focus is seen as the best way to create cutting-edge public transport and maintain high customer satisfaction. As a market analyst, you will play a central role in analyzing, processing, and making data accessible that is required to develop public transport in Blekinge.

You will be responsible for collecting, building reports, and helping the organization create analyses and interpret data to generate valuable insights and recommendations. The role belongs to the Marketing and Sales unit, but you will collaborate with all of Blekingetrafiken to understand business needs, identify trends and opportunities, and present results in easily understandable reports and visualizations. We have a well-established analytics platform where the organization currently works in Power BI.

You will work with:

Data Management: You will collect data from various systems and databases to produce reports and analyses.
Advisory and Collaboration: As an expert in Power BI, you will serve as a sounding board to find solutions and educate your colleagues.
Customized Solutions: You will create tailored solutions that fit the specific business and its challenges.
Requirements Setter: You will closely collaborate with external consultants regarding development work within business intelligence, primarily to define the structure and content of the organization’s Data Warehouse currently located in Azure.
Responsibility: You are the system owner of Blekingetrafiken’s analytics platform.

In addition, you will work on:

Creating interactive and visually appealing reports in Power BI Desktop.
Publishing and sharing reports via Power BI Service.
Working with data connections, transformations, and data modeling.
Using SQL to connect, analyze, and transform data.
Utilizing DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for calculations and metrics.
Having broad knowledge in ETL with a special focus on Power Query to process data, create queries across multiple data sources, and reshape data to handle changes in underlying data or schema.

About You

We are looking for an experienced market analyst specializing in business intelligence and a deep understanding of Power BI or equivalent. You are a person with a genuine interest in data, databases, and programming (preferably SQL and Python) as this will be your everyday work. You engage your colleagues and decision-makers through your approach and visualization of data. Your technical competence is crucial to create relevant, effective, and user-friendly solutions.

Requirements

Relevant post-secondary education, for example in computer science, statistics, marketing, business administration, mathematics, or a similar field, or experience we deem equivalent.
Good IT skills, especially in databases and programming.
Specific skills in Power BI or equivalent systems.
Experience and competence in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
Several years of experience working with data and databases.
Gathering, processing, and transforming data using SQL.
Fluent language skills in Swedish and English.

Meritorious

Programming in Python for processing and transforming data in Databricks.
Orchestrating Data in Azure Data Factory.
Experience in working and driving analytical work.
Experience in creating reports based on business needs.
Previous experience in being responsible for and coordinating common business concepts, calculation rules, and definitions (meta-data).
