Birka Gotland is the Baltic Sea's new leisure cruise ship offering recreation and experiences for everyday escapists. The vessel is operated by Gotland Alandia Cruises, founded in 2023 as a joint venture between the shipping companies Viking Line and Gotlandsbolaget. Birka Gotland offers cruises and regular trips between Stockholm, Mariehamn, and Visby starting in spring 2024.

We are now looking for new colleagues for our kitchen – a close-knit team of about 40 people. We are looking for either skilled assistants/cold kitchen staff, or those who may not have a background in the kitchen but are used to physically demanding work and want to work in the dishwashing area. Regardless of your background, you are flexible, stress-resistant, and have a desire to help us serve the best food in the Baltic Sea.

Working on Birka Gotland

• A work shift on board can range from one cruise up to 14.
• We work according to a 1:1 system, where each work period is followed by an equally long paid leave.
• All roles include safety responsibilities.
• The safety language on board is English.
• Work clothes and all meals on board are included, and you will stay in your own cabin.

We are currently looking primarily for substitutes for shorter or longer stints, but for the right person, there may be opportunities for longer contracts or permanent employment.
