Electrical Designer at VA SYD

Do you want to work closely with the operations in an important societal function and contribute to reliable and sustainable electrical systems? As an electrical designer, you will play a key role in creating, updating, and quality-assuring documentation and drawings according to current electrical standards.

Together with engaged colleagues, you will ensure the right structure and function for long-term and effective maintenance.

Your upcoming role

In the role of electrical designer, you will help create good and sustainable maintenance where proper documentation is important. You will collaborate with our electrical operation managers and electrical engineers to ensure the right structure is created for the documentation before or after work is completed in the operations. You will create objects according to VA SYD's electrical standards and also update existing drawings so that we can perform proper maintenance.

Examples of what the assignment includes:

• Be responsible for the documentation of electrical drawings of electrical systems and their components
• Coordinate documentation for the correct setup in storage
• Create new objects or edit existing drawings after changes
• Be operational in certain assignments to ensure the right functions are created based on needs according to electrical standards
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal functions and develop cooperation with our external contacts

The role is part of the Electrical & Instrument group, which belongs to the Maintenance unit. The unit is responsible for the daily maintenance of the electrical systems in the operations.

Your experiences

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of experience as an electrical designer for process industry or similar operations
• Education in Elprocad
• Good ability to create new objects
• Experience and knowledge of Swedish electrical installation regulations and industry-related standards and routines
• Driving license B

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience as an industrial electrician or electrical engineer
• Experience in instruments, PLC, motor drives, or switchgear
• Post-secondary education such as electrical engineer - power
• Education in Eplan electrical design
• Authorization B or AL
