With approximately 70 care places, Capio Geriatrics Nacka provides care in several units where both managers and specialist doctors are present. The care teams always work with a rehabilitative and person-centered perspective as a foundation.

The paramedical unit consists of a team of engaged, curious, and collaborative employees – including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, speech therapists, and health and medical care social workers.

As an occupational therapist at Geriatrics Nacka, you will meet inpatients who need rehabilitation after injury, illness, or surgery. Your main focus is to support the patient's recovery and facilitate a safe and independent return home. The position includes conducting ADL assessments to evaluate the patient's ability in personal care, mobility, and other daily functions – both during the hospital stay and before discharge. You will assess the need for assistive devices and trial and prescribe assistive devices before discharge. The work involves independent responsibility but is done in close collaboration with physiotherapists and other professional categories to create good conditions for discharge and, if necessary, coordinate continued support or housing adaptations after discharge. You will participate in rehab rounds and, if necessary, care planning.

Capio Elderly and Mobile Care practices probationary employment. We conduct verification of credentials (licensed occupational therapist).

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. Experience in geriatrics, primary care, or rehabilitation is an advantage.

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist who has experience or interest in working with elderly individuals with complex needs. You are confident in your assessments, accustomed to working independently and in teams, and have good communication skills. We value curiosity, flexibility, and a solution-focused attitude.

You have good communication skills, can document and follow up on interventions in journals, and communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. Personal suitability is highly valued.

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. Full-time position, 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday with some weekend work. Start date according to agreement.
