Your New Job

The tasks involve personal care, daily chores such as cleaning and laundry, social activities, medication management, and various responsibilities.

You will place great importance on the integrity of the tenants/citizens and work according to the values that are based on the individual's wishes, needs, and abilities. Your mission is to be a professional practitioner who works to strengthen the individual's abilities and resources so that they experience their daily life as understandable, manageable, and meaningful. You will also actively work with case management, implementation plans, and social documentation. You will adopt a health-promoting approach that focuses on the strengths and resources present in each person.

Your Qualifications

We primarily seek trained care assistants and specialist care assistants. It is advantageous if you have experience in care work and work in dementia units and/or short-term units. Furthermore, you have practical knowledge in personal care, home maintenance, and cooking.

Possibly, care aides with longer experience in care work may also be relevant for recruitment.

It is a given that you take initiative, collaborate well with others, and take responsibility for your tasks. You should also be attentive and have the ability to understand others' perspectives or situations. Being able to plan and organize your work effectively is also important. We also value if you are stable and secure, have self-awareness, and can adapt to different situations. Since the work involves contacts with tenants, relatives, and colleagues, as well as documentation, you should be proficient in the Swedish language in speaking, reading, and writing, and be able to absorb and convey information, read and understand written instructions.

Welcome to us! Both Ädelstenen and Kärrhöken elderly homes are located in Råslätt, about 15-20 minutes from Jönköping city center with good bus connections.

Ädelstenen elderly home has 27 apartments distributed over 3 units, all intended for people with dementia. One of the units is designated for short-term care with a focus on dementia.

Kärrhöken elderly home has 6 units with 8 tenants in each unit. Two of the units are dementia units.

We who work at Ädelstenen and Kärrhöken elderly homes want to create a pleasant environment and atmosphere through our work, where our residents can maintain a good quality of life. We care for each other and our work environment, we have good cooperation, and of course, the well-being of our residents is always our focus.

Good to Know

Within Jönköping Municipality, we offer equal pay for care assistant and care aide positions regardless of which elderly home you work at. This means that the salary is not affected by the choice of workplace. All our elderly homes have similar working hours, and we comply with current legislation, including rules on rest periods and weekend work.

We are now recruiting for the following: Ädelstenen elderly home, one (1) care assistant, permanent, in the short-term unit with immediate start/according to agreement, and one (1) care assistant permanent, full-time, with start date 20260601.

Kärrhöken elderly home is looking for a care assistant for a fixed-term position at 75%, with a start date of 20260316 or according to agreement until 20260816. You will work irregular hours with every other weekend, and you need to be flexible in the scheduling as it adapts to the needs of the operation. Resource shifts may involve working across all units of the operation.

In your application, we want a personal letter, a CV, and attached diploma and work certificates. All your work experience must be verifiable, and it should be clear what extent you have worked, what type of employment has been relevant, and what position you have held. We would appreciate it if you attach relevant certificates/degrees showing that you are a trained care assistant and have applied for a protected professional title. Selection and interviews are ongoing.

Before employment is finalized, a background check will be conducted where you must present an extract from the criminal record. In this recruitment, the extract is referred to as “Check your own information in the criminal record.”
