We are now looking for a trained care assistant for a temporary position of about one year at Kristinedals Elderly Home in central Jönköping.

Your new job

As a care assistant with us, you will have a varied and significant job where your contribution makes a real difference! In your work, you will adopt a health-promoting approach where the focus is on strengthening the individual's own abilities and resources. The goal is for each person to experience their everyday life as understandable, manageable, and meaningful. In every meeting, you focus on the strengths and opportunities that exist within each individual.

Your work includes personal care, assistance with personal hygiene, service tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and shopping, social activities, and medication management. You will perform simple wound dressings and support with everyday rehabilitation. Your duties also include providing care and support at the end of life and palliative care. Case management, implementation plans, and social documentation are also central parts of the position.

Just as the residents become a part of our daily life, so do their relatives. You will also have close contact with unit managers who are present, and you will collaborate with other professionals such as nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant with experience in care and support. It is an advantage if you have experience working with personal care.

Since contact with the residents, relatives, documentation, and reading information relevant to the job is central to your position, you are required to have a good command of Swedish in speech, writing, and reading comprehension. You also need to be computer literate as documentation is done on a computer. The job requires physical mobility as situations arise that cannot be predicted and must be resolved in a manner suited to the situation.

To thrive in the role of care assistant, you need to have a genuine commitment to helping others in their daily lives. You enjoy working independently, but also appreciate good collaboration with colleagues. In the role, you also need to build trusting relationships, and we believe you do this best by being attentive, empathetic, and present in your interactions with others. Welcome to us

Kristinedals Elderly Home is centrally located in Väster in central Jönköping. We have about 55 employees working here. The elderly home consists of a dementia unit, short-term unit, and special housing. The special housing consists of two units with a total of 20 places and about 20 employees. We work based on a person-centered care approach, and there is close collaboration with various professional groups.

Good to know

The recruitment is for a fixed-term position of one year, full-time, with the possibility of extension. Start date is according to agreement.

The working hours are scheduled for days and evenings, both weekdays and weekends. We work with joint planning, which means that work in other units may occur.
