Welcome to become part of a workplace that cares for each other and has fun together! Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine (KITM) is a laboratory-accredited specialty and is part of the Diagnostics Center in Region Östergötland.

About 90 people work here in the professional categories of biomedical analysts, biologists, nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors. In transfusion medicine, blood groupings and antibody investigations are performed, as well as the preparation and manufacturing of blood components. This part of the operation offers diagnostics around the clock and is therefore staffed 24/7.

Job Description

We are looking for you who are a biomedical analyst/medical biologist and who want to work in the part of our operation that constitutes the area of transfusion medicine. The work consists of performing blood group serological examinations such as blood grouping, antibody identification, and compatibility testing. The work also includes the handling and preparation of blood products as well as supervision of students. There may also be some work with immunological analyses. Together with experienced colleagues, you will have the opportunity to grow in your role and contribute to driving the operation forward over time. Depending on interest and competence, there are great opportunities to deepen and take responsibility in more specific areas. As a new employee, you will undergo an introductory program under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

Working hours vary and will be scheduled between day, evening, and night depending on placement, providing variety and diversity in your tasks.

About You

You are a licensed biomedical analyst/medical biologist and have an approved education in transfusion medicine. Previous experience in laboratory work is an advantage. You have good knowledge of Swedish both in speech and writing.

We work closely together and need to have good communication to successfully solve the tasks we encounter in everyday life.
