The Community Planning Administration has a wide-ranging operation that includes the units of street/park, water and sewage, planning and building, property, food services, as well as cleaning and associated administrative services.

The food unit operates nine kitchens within various municipal services where preparation and serving take place for children, students, users, and other customers. The current position as a chef is located at our elderly care facility where you have the opportunity to work in an inspiring environment where your culinary skills can truly shine. Here, you will work in a dedicated and friendly team, where collaboration and communication are key. We are staffed every day of the year on a rolling 6-week schedule with shifts every third weekend.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a passionate chef who has a love for cooking and a desire to create memorable meals that spread joy and foster community among our elderly.

As a chef with us, you will:

• Plan and prepare healthy, nutritious meals with a focus on quality and taste, together with our other chefs.
• Work with a dedicated team to create varied menus that meet the individual needs of our residents.
• Ensure that all kitchen routines comply with current food safety regulations.

Qualifications

We are looking for an engaged and creative chef for our elderly care facility who is passionate about preparing nutritious and delicious food. To fit into this role, we see that you have:

• Relevant education in cooking.
• At least 2 years of experience working as a chef, preferably in elderly care.
• Knowledge of special diets and various dietary needs with a focus on nutrition and taste.
• Good teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility and a desire to always strive to improve the dining experience for our residents.
