JOB DESCRIPTION

Secure a summer temporary position for summer 2026 at Kumla Prison.

As a kitchen assistant at Kumla Prison, you will be part of a team and work with various tasks such as meal preparations, salads, and serving lunch and dinner in the dining hall. Your tasks will also include cleaning the kitchen facilities, dishwashing, and self-control in accordance with applicable legislation. The work will partly involve collaboration with other staff with different functions.

Some contact with clients may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and self-aware. You are calm and controlled in stressful situations and collaborate well with others. You have good judgment and take responsibility for your tasks.

You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. We are looking for someone who has:

• A completed upper secondary education or other education combined with work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant.
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working in large kitchens.
• Restaurant and/or large-scale catering education.
• Experience working with self-controls.
• Relevant language skills.
