Job Description

SiS youth home Bergsmansgården has opened a satellite unit with 6 locked places for non-school-attending girls in the locality of Gammelbo, thirty kilometers north of Lindesberg. The facility is located in a beautiful and scenic rural environment.

We are now looking for a chef for a permanent position. The job as a chef involves planning, preparing, and cooking nutritious meals for the placed youth as well as some staff meals. The work includes preparing lunch and dinner 5 days a week (including special diets) and preparing meals for the weekend. Kitchen work also includes pre- and post-work in the kitchen and dining room, ordering food supplies, planning menus, washing dishes, cleaning, and conducting self-inspections in accordance with legislation.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Chef training or catering training.
• Knowledge of regulations regarding food hygiene.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, as well as good computer skills.
• Category B driving license.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Several years of experience working as a chef in a large kitchen or restaurant.

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
