Test Engineer for our team in Gothenburg

Due to increased demand from our customers, Mpya Sci & Tech is now looking for more experienced test engineers who want to strengthen our team in Gothenburg. With us, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced testing of complete software and electrical integration and contribute to robust and secure system solutions within the automotive and defense industries.

About the role

As a test engineer at Mpya Sci & Tech, you play a central role in the development and validation of complex technical systems. You work with both manual and automated testing, focusing on ensuring functionality, quality, and safety in both software and hardware.

The work includes xIL-based testing (SIL/HIL) as well as verification and validation in vehicles. You will be an important part of ensuring that the systems work as they should – both in simulated environments and in real operation in cars or trucks.

Your tasks

• Plan, execute, and document test cases in simulated environments and in vehicles
• Analyze and troubleshoot behaviors in systems, functions, and control units
• Ensure that functional and safety-related requirements are met
• Collaborate closely with software developers, systems engineers, and external suppliers
• Contribute to continuous development and improvement of testing methods and processes

We are looking for you who

Have a strong technical background and a genuine interest in testing and product development within vehicles. You are structured, analytical, and solution-oriented, and thrive in an environment where collaboration and cutting-edge technology are in focus.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or equivalent
• At least 4 years of experience in vehicle testing
• Good knowledge of tools such as SIL/HIL systems, CANoe, and requirements management tools
• Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and FlexRay
• Experience in test automation, for example with Robot Framework, Python, and Jenkins
• Driver's license B and experience with test driving

Meritorious

• Knowledge of electrical architecture, signal management, communication, diagnostics, and software downloading
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and C++
• Experience with functional safety (ISO 26262)
• T1/T2/T3 test track driving license
• Experience with CANape and/or INCA
