The Surgical Emergency Care Unit (KAVA) is the county hospital's emergency care unit for patients within the surgical, urology, and ENT clinics. A strong focus is placed on the initial care with observation, assessment, and investigation - often as a result of preoperative optimization and preparation. Unique to our operations is that we have the opportunity to perform endoscopies in our department, assisted by our experienced nursing assistants.

We have initiated a collaboration with Professor Anna Forsberg. Together, we are developing structures that strengthen the quality of care and contribute to secure care relationships with continuity. KAVA is also participating in a pilot project for mobile Cosmic, also called Nova. As a pilot department, we work with a mobile approach where a tablet is used to always have access to the patient's journal in daily work on the unit. Through the tablet, we can both read and register journal information as well as manage activities related to the patient's care.

As a nursing assistant at KAVA, you will be offered a varied job. In our team, you are a key player in preparing and observing our patients, and you work daily with preventive and supportive nursing measures. We have the privilege of applying a wish schedule, which means that you have the opportunity to request your schedule within given frameworks. Scheduling is done in dialogue and with consideration of the needs of the operation. We work 2 out of 5 weekends.

We are now looking for a nursing assistant/care assistant who will be placed at night. The position is full-time and will commence by agreement.

Nursing Assistant/Care Assistant to KAVA, Sundsvall

• Nursing of the surgical patient
• Preoperative preparations
• Postoperative checks and measures
• Observation, sampling, dressing changes, and assisting and performing specialized nursing measures related to the surgical patient.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a valid nursing assistant education
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

It is an advantage if you

• Have experience in surgical nursing
