Sävar School is a F–9 school with approximately 700 students.

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference for our students in grades 4-6. The assignment involves being a mentor for a 6th-grade class and teaching in other classes in grades 4-6.

Employment Type

The position is a full-time temporary contract, starting as soon as possible, by agreement until January 8, 2027. The temporary position may be extended, but no longer than until June 16, 2027.

Job Responsibilities

Your task as a primary school teacher is to plan teaching based on the curriculum but also to make a more comprehensive planning together with colleagues. You will individually and together with colleagues follow up, evaluate, and analyze teaching as well as assess and document students' knowledge development. You are responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that contributes to students' goal fulfillment. As a teacher, you are responsible for informing students and guardians about the student's knowledge development and sometimes, individually or together with colleagues. You will also have mentoring responsibility for a 6th-grade class.

About You

You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, structure, and coherence for all students. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents. You differentiate and vary teaching based on students' needs. You share your knowledge and experiences to contribute to collegial learning. An important part of the teaching role is to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Teaching certification and qualifications in mathematics, science, technology, Swedish, and English for grades 4-6 or have a corresponding degree and applied for certification
• Valid extract from the criminal record
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing

Meritorious

• Experience working in the relevant grade
• Experience working with children and young people
