System Specialist in Field Service

Do you want to help shape the future system support for Sweden's most driven field technicians? As a System Specialist in field service, you will be the link between the needs of the business and the technical solutions that enable faster troubleshooting, smoother workflows, and a better customer experience. Here, you will play a central role in developing our ways of working, influencing system functionality, and ensuring that our technicians always have the best tools at their disposal.

This is the job for you if you want to make a real difference every day. Are you ready to be at the forefront of digital innovation? Welcome to our forward-thinking team at Tele2, where Digital Capabilities & Technology (DCT) is at the core of our unlimited products and services. DCT enables automation and simplicity in the telecommunications industry and revolutionizes the way we connect and communicate.

Within our organization, you will find everything from the fundamental infrastructure of technology and IT systems that serve both our external and internal customers to advanced analytics, AI, and front-end development. Our team plays a crucial role in ensuring reliable and high-quality services by delivering exceptional customer experiences to both consumers and businesses while supporting our colleagues at Tele2.

About the Role

As a System Specialist in Field Service, you will be responsible for ensuring that our systems support the business in the best way possible – both today and in the future. You will work closely with development teams, technicians, and business management to optimize functionality, drive improvements, and contribute to maintaining high-quality solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Field Service uses our systems effectively and appropriately
  • Identify opportunities for increased usability, automation, and transparency
  • Be the Field Service representative in the requirements process
  • Formulate and prioritize requirements for system development
  • Coordinate and conduct tests prior to releases and new implementations
  • Escalate, follow up, and ensure the handling of bugs and system errors
  • Participate in system updates and the introduction of new features
  • Act as a super user and support the organization in system issues and ways of working
  • Conduct training within Field Service for our support systems
  • Document routines and processes related to the systems
  • Collaborate with Business Architects, quality teams, and management on architecture and roadmap
  • Work closely with our technicians in the field to ensure the right requirements and development

Who are you?

To thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you have:

Qualifications

  • Experience in system support, agile methods, system development, or technical business development
  • Good understanding of requirements management and testing processes
  • Experience working closely with end-users and translating business needs into technical solutions

Meritorious

  • Experience from a Field Service environment or working with technicians in the field
  • Experience working in development organizations or with product owners/architects

Personal Competencies

We are looking for someone who is analytical, solution-oriented, and communicative. You thrive in a role where you can combine technology and business, and you easily build trust with both developers and users. Your ability to structure, prioritize, and drive issues forward is central, as is your willingness to improve and modernize our systems and ways of working.

These qualities are important because the role sits at the core of our business – you will be the one who understands how the systems work and how they are used in reality.
