Web Developer at the Swedish Migration Agency
At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are around 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
Description
We are looking for a web developer with the ability to put the user at the center to the digital communication unit in Norrköping or Sundbyberg.
As an employee at the Swedish Migration Agency and with us in the communications department, you can expect community, engagement, and a developing workplace.
The digital communication unit is one of three units in the communications department and is responsible for managing and developing the agency's websites so that the information is useful for our target groups. You will work alongside experienced colleagues in web, UX, and design. You will closely collaborate with two web developers and a development leader in your daily work.
Responsibilities
As a web developer, you will work with the agency's intranet and external websites. The tasks primarily consist of developing new functionality and managing existing features on our digital platforms. The work is conducted in the content management system Sitevision and with support from development tools such as Visual Code. You have a broad role with personal responsibility. You participate in the development work from start to finish and have a holistic view of the product. The work is based on the needs of the target group, and we highly value usability and accessibility. As a web developer, you will work closely with web editors and also collaborate with other roles in the department as well as with other parts of the agency.
Personal Competencies
You are positive, self-driven, responsible, and have an easy time collaborating. You work well with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You take responsibility for your tasks and can plan and prioritize your time even when you have multiple tasks simultaneously. Our digital channels need your engagement and drive.
Qualifications
Required
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript.
- Good knowledge of Javascript frameworks (e.g., Vue or React) and CSS frameworks (SASS or LESS).
- You have good communication skills and can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and English.
- At least two years of experience in web or system development.
Meritorious
- Experience working in Sitevision or another CMS.
- Experience in UX and accessibility.
- Experience working with APIs/WebServices.
- Experience with Node.js.
- Experience with version control (GIT).

Employment type: fixed-term employment for one year
Working hours: office hours
Salary: we apply individual salary setting
Location: Norrköping or Sundbyberg
Start date: as soon as possible
