JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work includes both departmental and outpatient work. The position includes on-call duties within internal medicine during evenings, nights, and weekends. You will also take responsibility as a department head during on-call hours, and the work may also involve operational development, such as medical management assignments. Teaching and supervision of medical students, interns, and residents, as well as junior doctors.

A senior physician is expected to demonstrate good leadership qualities, be able to take responsibility for operational development, and lead projects and improvement efforts.

A senior physician is expected to have an academic approach, contribute to the development of evidence-based care, and supervise students and colleagues in all clinical situations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in endocrinology or hematology.

Qualifications:

• Several years (at least 2 years) of well-documented clinical practice as a specialist physician with broad and extensive knowledge in the respective specialty
• Documented supervisory and university merits (including approved training for supervising residents)
• Must be able to be an independent on-call consultant, which also includes medical management responsibility during on-call hours and take responsibility as a department head during on-call hours
• A Doctor of Medicine degree and active ongoing research is desirable and merits for the senior physician position, but not an absolute requirement.

• License certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare

• If applicable - certificate of academic degree, such as Doctor of Medicine or docent, as well as the date of the dissertation and the title of the thesis.

• Certificate/documentation of teaching experience and any other pedagogical merits.
