Care Assistants Wanted for Hemtjänstgruppen Staden nedre
We are currently looking for competent colleagues in the form of care assistants to join our team at Hemtjänstgruppen Staden nedre. Here, you will be part of a wonderful workgroup where we help each other to solve the day's tasks together. We are located in the large brick building next to Österängsparken in central Östersund, a facility we share with the home care groups Marielund, Erikslund, Staden övre, and night care. Licensed home healthcare professionals also have their offices in the same building. This proximity to other home care groups and licensed personnel provides excellent conditions for collaboration and collegial support.
Currently, there are 24 care assistants/caregivers, two coordinators, and a unit manager working at Staden nedre. We use a flexible needs schedule that allows you to influence how you work. The schedule period is 5 weeks. The employment rate is 75-100%, and working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.
Your New Job
As a care assistant in home care, you will work with personal care and service in citizens' homes. You will promote physical, mental, and social health for the citizens you assist. Your mission is to support the citizen and facilitate their daily life. You provide personal care based on individual needs and perform delegated health and medical care tasks, such as specific care and rehabilitation.
In your work, you will move between citizens by bicycle or using the municipality's vehicles, so you need to be able to operate both types of transport. You will work closely with other care assistants and caregivers, as well as with the municipality's licensed personnel such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and district nurses. Another important task is to regularly document in our operational systems.
Common Tasks
- Assist citizens with personal hygiene and basic care
- Be a primary care contact for certain citizens
- Support during transfers
- Perform delegated tasks from licensed personnel
- Prepare light meals
- Care documentation
- Respond to alarms from citizens
- Assist colleagues in their work
Your Qualifications
Requirements
- Care assistant education
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
- Good computer skills
- Driving license B
- Ability to ride a bicycle
Desirable
- Experience working in home care
- Experience with delegated care tasks

The role requires flexibility as tasks may change rapidly based on our citizens' varying needs. You remain calm and stable in stressful situations and have a good ability to prioritize and focus on what is most important. Your empathetic ability is strong, and you find it easy to collaborate and communicate with others.
