Your tasks

We are now expanding our operations with another nurse! Do you want to be part of working at the forefront?

At the Cognition Center, we work in unpretentious and well-functioning teams. Our goal is to collaborate with, among others, assistance assessors, Region Östergötland, home healthcare, and home care to provide good and equitable care for people with cognitive diseases.

The work consists of conducting annual follow-ups of cognitive diseases. You will also be involved in improvement and development work as well as working with competence development and educational initiatives aimed at all providers in Linköping municipality who work with care and support for people with cognitive diseases.

Your workplace

The Dementia Center has been renamed to the Cognition Center. To better highlight how cognitive abilities such as memory and understanding are affected, we now use the term "cognitive disease" instead of "dementia".

We are based in pleasant premises centrally located in Linköping and work daytime Monday to Friday with flexible hours. You will divide your working time between working from the office, making home visits, and, when necessary, providing support to staff in our operations.

The Cognition Center consists of seventeen employees, currently including nurses, specialist nurses, specialist nursing assistants, and occupational therapists. We work from multiprofessional teams where we all collaborate around the individual.

We have close contact with the health center, where each team collaborates with health centers within a geographical area. It is important to us that you are driven to work according to evidence-based methods and have a desire to deepen your knowledge of cognitive abilities to develop the team and the operations together with other colleagues. To ensure your confidence in your role as a nurse, we offer continuous professional development.

You who are applying

We are looking for a licensed nurse, and it is desirable, but not required, that you have further education that the employer deems relevant for the position. You need to have previous experience working as a nurse. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working with cognitive diseases or in psychiatry. It is also advantageous if you have experience working with educational initiatives, as one of the Cognition Center's missions is to provide training to patients as well as relatives and staff in elderly care.

You also have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both written and spoken, as the work largely involves social contacts and documentation. You need to be computer literate. In this position, you will occasionally travel with a company car, which requires you to have a B driver's license.

As a person, you have the ability to empathize with someone else's situation without taking over their feelings. You also have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and can therefore adapt how you convey information to achieve common goals. Furthermore, you work well with others, listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively.

You have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You also make correct assessments and have the ability to weigh complex information and various considerations.
