About the Job

The Short-term Unit at Bagaregården's care and nursing home is seeking trained nursing assistants with experience in care and nursing.

Do you want to develop in a future-oriented industry and make a real difference? Apply today!

We are located at Landerigatan 17 and offer municipal care and nursing to individuals with various needs for a shorter period. Short-term guests come to us directly from the hospital or from their homes. We provide good and safe care and nursing based on authority decisions, tailored to the individual's needs. Our approach is rehabilitative and person-centered, focusing on the individual's participation and influence. The goal is to support the short-term guest in rehabilitation and provide specific care and nursing so that they can return home or prepare for moving into a care and nursing home.

In your work at the short-term unit, you make a difference by contributing to the short-term guest's joy of life and well-being. You will have the opportunity to develop and utilize your full competence as a nursing assistant. Nursing assistants work in teams alongside nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and pharmacists. Services are performed in a safe and secure manner with clear routines as support. Services are regularly followed up in team meetings and coordinated in follow-up meetings with the short-term guest, relatives, social workers, and other professionals in the team. Some tasks are performed at the request of licensed personnel. Through trust-based working methods, everyone is involved and contributes to the development of the organization. The goal is for the short-term guest to return to an independent life.

We have regular workplace meetings (APT) and operational meetings to collaboratively drive the organization and care for the work environment. Together, we work to develop and maintain a high quality in our short-term units.

Your working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a trained nursing assistant and can provide proof of the protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or can show that you were employed as a nursing assistant when the new regulations were introduced.
  • Has good computer skills in various IT systems and strong communication skills.
  • Has good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Has knowledge and understanding of the Individual's Needs in Focus (IBIC) working method.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Further education in dementia or geriatric psychiatry.
  • Work experience in care and nursing.
  • Work experience in short-term care services.

Your role as a nursing assistant requires good collaboration skills as we work in teams to achieve common goals. You have a respectful manner, are open and positive in all your interactions, and have the best interests of the care recipient in focus. The workday can sometimes be different from what was planned, so it is important to quickly prioritize tasks, remain calm, and balance various demands.

Warm welcome to your application!
