The Ambulance Service Dalarna is a regional clinic with 11 ambulance stations from Särna in the north to Avesta in the south. Nurse for the Ambulance in Ludvika

As a nurse in the Ambulance Service, you will work with pre-hospital emergency care, meeting patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury. You will assess and treat patients at home, at the scene of the accident, and during transport to healthcare facilities. The focus is on good care and compassion in patient interactions. You will work both independently and as part of a team where collaboration and knowledge exchange aim for the best possible care of the sick and injured. You will work according to the applicable treatment guidelines for the Ambulance Service Dalarna.

At our station in Ludvika, 32 employees staff two night ambulances, one day ambulance, and one patient transport. Here we have a good work environment and care for each other.

We work with individual schedule planning, and the job involves working both day, night, and weekends.

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse
• Specialist nursing degree with a focus on ambulance care

If you do not have specialist training in ambulance care when you apply to us, you must undergo the training within an agreed time frame. Some support for attending the training is provided by the employer.

• You must be approved according to the Ambulance Service Dalarna's guidelines regarding employment tests and introductory training.
• Driver's license with the authority to drive a passenger car with a total weight over 3.5 tons.
• Swimming ability 200 m, certification required

If you do not have the authority when you apply to us, you must start obtaining driver's license C1 within an agreed time frame. The employer covers health examinations and driving school costs.

Personal qualities:

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities such as teamwork ability, positive attitude, and engagement. You need to be confident in your professional role, have a genuine interest in people, and always keep the patient in focus. You can work independently and handle stressful situations but also enjoy working in a team and contributing your knowledge to a good work environment.

This position requires that you have a valid license for the relevant profession. Your professional license will be checked against the National Board of Health and Welfare's register of licensed healthcare professionals (HOSP) before any job offer.
