The emergency department at Falu Hospital is tasked with providing specialized healthcare for acutely seriously ill or injured citizens across a broad spectrum covering seven different medical specialties, around the clock, all year round. This mission involves offering all visitors a medical assessment by a nurse, as well as a doctor's visit for those in need of acute medical investigation, care, and treatment.

Training Employment Nurse Emergency Care, Emergency Department Falun

The nurse's responsibilities in the emergency department include:

• Identifying potentially life-threatening conditions (critical/non-critical ABCDE)
• Prioritizing and sorting patients continuously
• Stabilizing vital functions together with the responsible physician
• Identifying patients with high care needs
• Identifying infection risks
• Continuously ensuring that patients receive the monitoring, supervision, and nursing actions required by their medical condition
• Evaluating and documenting performed actions
• Systematically leading, prioritizing, organizing, distributing, and coordinating nursing work in the team based on the employees' different competencies

You are a licensed nurse with a bachelor's degree in nursing science or equivalent. You have worked for a few years as a nurse, preferably in emergency care. We want you to feel secure in your professional role as a nurse. You thrive when there are many balls in the air, can work structured, and have the ability to handle stress. You communicate and collaborate easily.

You will receive a permanent position as a nurse in the Emergency Department in Falun. During the academic terms, you will have a training employment with a base salary as a nurse. You will have 50% study time and work 50% in the emergency department, weekend shifts are 1.1/week. Outside of academic terms, you will work according to a day/night schedule.
