The Ambulance Service Dalarna is a regional clinic with 11 ambulance stations from Särna in the north to Avesta in the south. Nurse for the Ambulance in Vansbro

As a nurse in the Ambulance Service, you will work with pre-hospital emergency care, meeting patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury. You will assess and treat patients at home, at the scene of an accident, and during transport to healthcare facilities. The focus is on good care and compassion in patient interactions. You will work both independently and as part of a team, where collaboration and knowledge exchange are essential for the best possible care of the sick and injured. You will work according to the current treatment guidelines for the Ambulance Service Dalarna.

At our station in Vansbro, 16 employees staff a 24-hour ambulance, an assessment unit, and a patient transport service. We have a good working climate and care for each other.

We work with individual schedule planning, and the job involves shifts during the day, night, and weekends.

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse
• Specialist nursing degree with a focus on ambulance care

If you do not have specialist training in ambulance care when you apply, you will need to complete the training within an agreed timeframe. Some support for attending the training is provided by the employer.

• You must be approved according to the Ambulance Service Dalarna's guidelines regarding employment tests and introductory training.
• Driver's license with the ability to drive a passenger car with a total weight over 3.5 tons.
• Swimming ability of 200 m, certification required

If you do not have the required license when you apply, you must start obtaining the C1 driving license within an agreed timeframe. The employer covers health examinations and driving school costs.

Personal Qualities:

You need to be confident in your professional role, have a genuine interest in people, and always keep the patient in focus. You can work independently and handle stressful situations but also enjoy working in a team and contributing your knowledge to a good working climate.

This position requires you to have a valid license for the relevant profession. Your professional license will be checked against the National Board of Health and Welfare's register of licensed healthcare professionals (HOSP) before any job offer is made.
