Description

At Operation 2 Sahlgrenska Hospital, we provide highly specialized and high-tech care in thoracic surgery.

The department consists of five operating rooms with the following distribution; four rooms for cardiac surgery and one room for lung surgery. In addition to traditional surgery, we also perform minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgery. We also conduct National Highly Specialized Care (NHV) in heart and lung transplantation and adults with congenital heart defects (GUCH surgery). As an assistant nurse with us, you will also participate in the work at Intervention 2, where you are part of the ECMO team.

Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse with us, you are an important part of the operations team where you work with tasks within surgical and anesthetic nursing. This gives you a broad competence and a varied job. We perform both planned and emergency surgeries, which sometimes means that the day's planning needs to change. The operating department is characterized by teamwork where we work for good and safe care according to well-established routines. The department provides round-the-clock care with shifts scheduled for day, evening, and night based on individual schedule planning. We offer an exciting job with professional development and good camaraderie. You contribute your previous experiences and ideas to the development of our operations. As a new employee, you will receive structured and individualized training alongside some of our experienced assistant nurses.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained assistant nurse. If you have previous experience in surgical nursing, emergency care, or have completed a specialist assistant nurse education with a focus on AnOpIva, it is an advantage. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We value that you have good collaboration skills, are flexible, and have the ability to work at a varying pace. You have social competence and enjoy working in a team. You also contribute to a positive work environment to the best of your ability and want to be involved in the development of our operations.
