Fetal Medicine at Karolinska University Hospital is now looking for an ultrasound midwife for a part-time position, primarily located in Huddinge.

About the position

The tasks mainly consist of obstetric ultrasound examinations. We strive for variation in the work, therefore tasks such as telephone counseling and referral management may also occur. The work may also involve assistance and sampling during various procedures. Together with other staff, you will participate in the design, updating, and improvement of routines.

The Fetal Medicine Centers in Huddinge and Solna perform approximately 20,000 ultrasound examinations annually. We have assignments for ultrasound care choices, second opinions from the region's other ultrasound clinics, internal referrals of patients from SpecMVC and delivery, genetic counseling, fetal diagnostics with invasive sampling, and NHV assignments within Fetal Therapy and Foster Care.

Here you are offered the opportunity to help develop the future of care in fetal medicine. We aim to elevate the competence and engagement of the ultrasound midwife through internal training. Every week we have image presentations with current cases, we organize courses in collaboration with SFOG, and we have both medical students and ST doctors who can intern with the midwives. We have several ongoing studies where the midwife is involved in recruiting patients. If you have ideas on how the role of the ultrasound midwife can be further developed, you will be heard.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed midwife with experience in ultrasound diagnostics
  • Graduated in obstetric ultrasound, SFOG, and KUB certified

Meritorious:

  • University education in Obstetric ultrasound.
