The Property Management Department is now looking for summer staff.

We need property caretakers and property caretakers with supervisory responsibility. Take the opportunity to apply for a really fun summer job!

The property management department works with ongoing operations and maintenance of KBAB's properties and is responsible for daily contact with tenants. Our properties are spread across most residential areas in Karlstad.

The department is divided into three property areas, which in turn are divided into area offices staffed by property managers. A property manager is tasked with keeping properties and the surrounding outdoor environment well-maintained and accessible, taking care of tenants - from moving in to moving out - and delivering high-quality customer service with the goal that tenants feel comfortable and secure.

Property Caretaker

Job Responsibilities

In the summer of 2026, we are looking for several property caretakers who want to contribute to a clean, pleasant, and safe environment in and around our properties. You will be placed at one of our area offices, and your tasks will mainly consist of practical outdoor work such as lawn mowing, weeding, and trimming bushes. As a property caretaker, you will work towards a clean, pleasant, and safe environment around our properties.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is interested and curious about the property industry. For this position, you need some form of practical experience in outdoor work, but to fit in the role of property caretaker, we mainly see that you have an interest in property maintenance and machine handling and enjoy practical work with a lot of customer contact and some administration.

Since you will be working with your body every day, good physical fitness is necessary, and it is a prerequisite that you enjoy outdoor work regardless of the weather. In addition, the job requires that you have good knowledge of Swedish in speech, and it is desirable if you have good knowledge of English in speech.

As a property caretaker in one of our areas, you will be KBAB's face to our tenants, which is why we place great importance on your personal qualities. We see that you at least have a high school education, preferably with a focus on property maintenance or construction.

A B driver's license is a requirement for this role.

Property Caretaker with Supervisory Responsibility

Are you looking for a longer summer job with the responsibility to supervise summer workers? Do you also enjoy being outdoors, meeting people, and being physically active? Then we think you should apply for the job as a property caretaker with supervisory responsibility.

Job Responsibilities

As a property caretaker with supervisory responsibility, you will plan and drive the work in the outdoor environment around our properties according to the directives of the area office. At the area office where you will be placed, you will have a coordinating role and supervise summer workers from Karlstad Municipality. These young people are in ninth grade or their first year of high school. As a supervisor, you will assign their tasks and ensure that they work safely.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has experience from practical work such as gardening/parks/machines and enjoys working with a lot of customer contact. Since you will be working with your body every day, good physical fitness is necessary, and it is a prerequisite that you enjoy outdoor work regardless of the weather. Furthermore, it is important that you can plan and drive work in the outdoor environment independently while having the ability and enjoying leading others. As a supervisor, you need to be outgoing, clear, and communicative.

As a property caretaker with supervisory responsibility in one of our areas, you will be KBAB's face to our tenants, which is why we place great importance on your personal qualities. We see that you at least have a high school education, preferably with a focus on property maintenance or construction, or equivalent competence that we assess as comparable. We also wish that you have experience working with young people or have experience from some form of supervisory role.

A B driver's license is a requirement for this role.

Work Period

• As a property caretaker, you will work during the period of June – August (approximately 11 weeks).
• As a property caretaker with supervisory responsibility, you will work during the period of May – August (approximately 16 weeks).
