We now need to strengthen our service department and are therefore looking for a service technician responsible for the Skåne region. At Westmatic, you will have an independent role with great trust, the opportunity to influence your work, and work with technically advanced facilities in close collaboration with our customers.
About the position
As a service technician, you will work with service and maintenance of our washing facilities, both preventive and in case of urgent needs. The work includes troubleshooting, repairs, and ongoing maintenance at our customers' sites. You will move between different facilities and plan your assignments independently.
You will also be involved in our quality work and contribute improvement suggestions regarding operation and maintenance. The role entails freedom under responsibility in a varied environment. You will work from your home location in Skåne and primarily be responsible for your area, but you need to be open to travel and overnight stays outside the region as well.
The position includes, among other things, that you:
- Perform daily inspections, cleaning, and technical support of our washing facilities
- Carry out service and maintenance work at our customers
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs
- Train customers in our systems
- Recognize customer needs and suggest relevant products and services
- Receive and report deviations to the nearest manager
- Be responsible for ongoing time reporting and documentation for invoicing
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a genuine technical interest who thrives in an independent role with significant personal responsibility. You work in a structured manner, take initiative, and find it easy to plan and drive your work forward. You are motivated by problem-solving and see challenges as a natural part of everyday life.
Since the role involves a lot of customer contact, it is important that you are communicative, service-oriented, and trustworthy. You have a professional demeanor and are driven to create long-term relationships by understanding and meeting customer needs, preferably with the ambition to exceed their expectations.
We would like you to have:
- A high school education in electrical and/or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
- At least two years of experience as a service technician, traveling technician, or similar
- Experience in control and regulation technology is an advantage
- Experience in sales or customer-facing work is a plus
- Good computer skills and ease in adapting to new systems
- A valid driver's license (B)
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, as you are an important representative and Westmatic's face to our customers.
A probationary period may be applied. The goal is for the employment to subsequently transition into a permanent position.
