In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
Tingsbrogården
Tingsbrogården is a dementia care facility beautifully located in Bro parish, about ten kilometers northeast of Visby.
There are four departments with eight residents each, surrounded by calming and accessible outdoor environments. We work according to IBIC (Individual Needs in Center), where each resident receives an individually designed implementation plan that reflects their needs, wishes, and life situation.
We are now looking for new employees who, with curiosity, commitment, and warmth, want to help shape the future of elderly care. With us, you have the opportunity to make a real difference every day.
At Tingsbrogården, our work is permeated by our values: trust, care, and participation. We create a workplace where management and employees jointly take responsibility, support each other, and work together without prestige to ensure that our elderly receive a safe, meaningful, and dignified life.
We offer a meaningful job where you make a difference every day, opportunities for professional development, and wellness benefits.
Your Responsibilities
As a care assistant or resident assistant at Tingsbrogården, you work closely with your colleagues to promote the quality of life of the elderly through a rehabilitative approach. You encourage and support individuals in maintaining their routines, habits, and independence as much as possible.
The role includes typical care tasks such as personal care, household chores, medication administration, and other delegated healthcare services. You also contribute to an active and social life through companionship and activities. Palliative care is also a natural and important part of our work, where we provide support with care and professionalism to both the individual and their relatives.
The position also includes case management, where you are responsible for establishing and following up on implementation plans, documenting, communicating with relatives, and handling some administration.
You will work closely with the unit manager, nurses, and rehabilitation staff, together creating good care and support with the individual in focus.
The working hours follow a basic schedule with shifts during the day, evening, and every other weekend.
Who Are You?
We primarily seek someone who is a trained care assistant. To be employed in this role, you must meet the requirements to use the protected professional title according to the regulations of the National Board of Health and Welfare.
As a resident assistant, you need to have a high school education, preferably with a focus on care and support, such as a nursing assistant.
It is advantageous to have training and/or experience working with the elderly and individuals with dementia, as well as end-of-life care. Experience with quality registers such as Senior Alert and BPSD is also a merit.
As a person, you are secure, attentive, and have a genuine interest in working with people. You have the ability to remain calm even in stressful situations and treat everyone with respect and empathy. You are flexible, proactive, and can work both independently and in a team.
You also have good communication skills and express yourself fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written – an important prerequisite for documentation and daily contact.
Before a potential employment, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented. Check your information in the criminal record (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/kontrollera-dina-uppgifter-i-belastningsregistret/)
It is an advantage if you have a driver's license and access to your own car, as public transport schedules do not always align with shifts in elderly care.
We place great importance on personal suitability based on the characteristics and abilities described above.
Welcome with your application!
