Greenhouse Staff Wanted for SLU in Umeå

We are now looking for service-oriented greenhouse staff for our client SLU at the Umeå Plant Science Centre and Wallenberg Greenhouses. Here you have the opportunity to work this summer from early June to the end of August, alongside your studies or other main activities.

About the Position

You will start in early June and work until the end of August. Before that, at the end of May, you will undergo a few days of introduction. It is important that you can work the entire period. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:30, with some weekends.

Your Main Responsibilities

Care of plant cultivation for research purposes in greenhouses and climate chambers. The work includes watering and fertilizing plants, biological pest control, cleaning of cultivation areas, and some technical supervision, etc. The work is performed either in teams or independently, and in dialogue with the clients.

Who Are You?

It is advantageous if you have previous experience in plant care, have a horticultural education, or are studying biology or biotechnology, preferably with a focus on plants. You are social and good at communicating in both Swedish and English. The work is physically demanding. Important personal qualities include teamwork ability, service orientation, and attention to detail.
