We are now looking for a strategic buyer for our electronics team at Saab in Karlskoga, where you will play an important role in ensuring competitiveness, sustainability, and innovation in our supplier base.

Your Role

As a strategic buyer, you will have a central role where you build and develop a broad network, both internally within Saab and externally with our suppliers. You will be an important part in ensuring competitiveness, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness in our supplier base.

In this role, you will among other things:

• Be responsible for your own supplier base and continuously develop it.
• Develop and implement strategies for suppliers.
• Negotiate, manage, and further develop supplier agreements.
• Support projects and programs with commercial expertise.
• Lead cross-functional teams with a focus on efficiency and cost savings.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate offers, and negotiate prices and terms.
• Ensure that Saab's purchasing strategy, policies, and procedures are followed.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we see that you are a business-driven and relationship-building person who has the ability to independently drive strategic purchasing work. You thrive in a role with many points of contact and are comfortable in dialogues and negotiations, both internally and externally. With an analytical and structured approach, you easily create an overall picture, make well-founded decisions, and translate strategy into practical implementation.

We are looking for someone with several years of documented experience working as a strategic buyer, where you have been responsible for supplier strategies, negotiations, and long-term business relationships. You have a post-secondary education in, for example, engineering, economics, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience.

The role involves many points of contact, both nationally and internationally, which requires you to have a very good command of both Swedish and English in speech and writing. You are used to working in MS Office and have good experience using business systems in your daily work. Experience in strategic purchasing within the electronics field, such as circuit boards, cabling, or components, is an advantage.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
