Care Assistants Wanted at Sollidenvägen 64C

The Care and Welfare Administration in Östersund Municipality is now seeking three care assistants for the residential home at Sollidenvägen 64C. We offer a safe and pleasant workplace focused on good care. The unit is divided into two floors with a total of 52 apartments. There is a patio in the yard, and nearby the residence, there is forest and beautiful walking paths. We strive for a good working environment where collaboration and responsibility are important. Together, we work to enhance the everyday lives of the citizens we care for.

Two of the positions are 80% and one is 75%, with the possibility of increased working hours within the administration. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Your New Job

As a care assistant at Sollidenvägen 64C, you will work with personal care and service for the citizens living there. You will promote the physical, mental, and social health of the citizens. Your mission is to support the citizens and facilitate their daily lives. You provide personal care based on individual needs and perform delegated health and medical care tasks such as specific care and rehabilitation. You will collaborate with other care assistants, nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, group leaders, and unit managers. Documenting in our operational systems is an important part of your duties.

Common Tasks

• Assist citizens with personal hygiene and basic care
• Support during transfers
• Administer medication according to medical delegation and prescriptions
• Various types of sampling
• Preparation of light meals
• Bandaging
• Care for various internal outlets (e.g., urinary catheters or stomas)
• Basic wound dressing
• Care documentation

Your Qualifications

Requirements

• Trained care assistant
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing

Meritorious

• Previous experience in elderly care
• Good computer skills
• Previous experience in an advocacy role
• Previous delegation experience
