Senior Key Account Manager at Stena Recycling

About the Role
As a Senior Key Account Manager, you will play a central role in developing and managing some of Stena Recycling's most significant and complex customer relationships within the industry – with a particular focus on strategic growth, innovation, and partnerships. You will work closely with both the customer and our own organization to create long-term value and ensure that our solutions meet the customers' business needs and technical requirements – now and into the future. The role requires a deep understanding of industrial sales, strategic business acumen, and a long-term perspective in customer development for our existing customers.
Examples of Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers and key personnel at various levels within the customer organization.
- Develop and implement customer-specific strategies and business plans focused on long-term growth.
- Identify business opportunities and drive the process to closure.
- Ensure internal development and compliance while serving as the link for Stena Recycling towards the customer to ensure delivery according to agreements.
- Navigating the internal organization in a solution-oriented manner to ensure future readiness in work and delivery to the customer.
- Negotiate complex agreements and ensure profitability in the business.
- Continuously work on further developing our business through continuous improvements, new products, and services, etc.
- Follow up on KPIs, analyze customer data, and report results to management.
- Act as the customer's voice internally and contribute to product development and innovation.
The role involves regular travel within Sweden. The place of employment is Gothenburg.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with strong self-drive and a great curiosity and willingness to both learn new things and share your previous experiences. You are a skilled relationship builder who listens and understands the customer's needs while having the ability to translate your insights into actionable activities. Furthermore, you are an experienced and skilled negotiator, taking clear ownership to drive yourself and your stakeholders forward. Your communication skills make you successful in your collaborations, and you are confident in yourself and your competence.
Qualifications
- At least 7+ years of experience in B2B sales at a high/complex level within the industrial sector.
- Documented experience in managing large, complex customers and deals.
- Solid understanding of industrial processes, technical solutions, and value-based selling.
- Ability to work strategically, structured, and long-term with customer development.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Valid driver's license (B)
If you also have experience working in international environments or experience from purchasing/sales roles within or towards process industry or manufacturing industry, it is a strong merit.
