In Sweden, Vattenfall Värme delivers district heating, district cooling, and steam to industries, property owners, and residential customers in fifteen municipalities. We provide sustainable heating to approximately 200,000 Swedish households and heat, cooling, and steam to industrial customers. At the facility in Motala, there are maintenance managers, maintenance engineers, operations staff, facility managers, distribution staff, and occupational health engineers. Additionally, there are experts and managers throughout Vattenfall Värme Sweden who support the operations.

About the Role

Do you want to work closely with technology in a socially important operation while contributing to the energy transition? As a maintenance engineer at Vattenfall Värme in Motala, you will play a central role in ensuring the operation of our facilities with a focus on electricity and control, safety, and availability.

About the Role

We offer you an exciting role as a maintenance engineer where you will work to ensure maintenance measures and technical solutions within electricity and control, both in the short and long term. Safety and availability are the focus. The role includes work in projects, preventive and corrective maintenance, and revision planning.

You will participate in procurement of service agreements and drive or participate in investment projects as a technical representative or requirements setter. Furthermore, you will contribute to the annual maintenance costs and investment needs of the facilities related to modernization, development, and upgrades. The work is varied, with about half administrative work and half in the facilities with troubleshooting, inspections, controls, and contractor contacts.

The role involves responsibility as an authorized installer for regulatory compliance on the electrical side, which is a requirement. You will also work in the interface between IT and OT and be an important contact point for the facilities' control and monitoring systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience
  • Solid and broad work experience in the relevant field, which can compensate for formal education
  • Experience in electricity and control within industry, preferably with combustion technology, pressure, and energy
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
  • Competence in SAP PM/MM is an advantage
  • Driver's license B
