Steril Technician for Specialist Dental Care at Växjö Hospital

We are now looking for a steril technician for specialist dental care at Växjö Hospital. This is the role for you who want an important and independent position where you help ensure high patient activity at our clinic.

You will be part of a modern and well-functioning clinic that houses departments for pedodontics, orofacial medicine, endodontics, maxillofacial imaging, and oral surgery. Our operations are gathered in bright and modern premises on the 9th floor of Växjö Hospital.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a steril technician with us, you will work with the entire chain of sterilization technology. Your mission is to ensure that our instruments and surgical trays always maintain the highest quality and are ready for use in both outpatient work and anesthesia treatments.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Instrument care, cleaning, disinfection, and preparation of equipment.
• Packaging of instruments and surgical trays.
• Ongoing monitoring of basic hygiene controls.
• Daily collaboration and support to our dental care teams.
• Contact and cooperation with the hospital's sterilization unit to ensure an efficient flow of sterilized goods.
• Handling of factory-sterilized products and packing of surgical carts for surgical procedures.
• Planning and logistics regarding instruments for the entire operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained steril technician. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Previous experience in sterilization technology or in an operating room is an advantage for the position.

As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, and used to working independently. You have the ability to remain calm and prioritize in the best way in stressful situations. You also need to be pedagogically inclined and have the ability to convey news regarding routines or other matters informatively at our morning meetings.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
