We at Ward 4 in Växjö are a neurological care ward where patients with stroke and neurological diseases such as Parkinson's, epilepsy, MS, ALS, brain tumors, and Guillain-Barré are cared for. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nurse, you are responsible for medical tasks and the care of the patient and contribute to the rehabilitation process together with other professional categories. The ward has an emergency room for brain rescue alarms. Here, patients receiving thrombolysis treatment are observed. You work in an environment where time is crucial. This requires you to quickly assess, prioritize, and take appropriate actions. The unit offers stroke competence training and the opportunity for further education in stroke and neurology to eventually also work with outpatient care.
When you start with us, we ensure that you receive an introduction tailored to your previous experiences and knowledge so that you gain the confidence you need to settle into the work effectively. If you are newly employed within Region Kronoberg, you will also participate in several introductory training sessions that all new employees attend during their initial time with us.
We work on a rotation schedule which means day, evening, night shifts, and 2 out of 5 weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
With great commitment, we welcome you as a licensed nurse who wants to be part of the medicine clinic in Växjö. You have a genuine interest in providing good care and actively work to ensure that the patient's needs are at the center. Previous experience in stroke or neurology care is advantageous, but not a requirement.
We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who enjoys working closely with different professional groups, both within the ward and together with other units and clinics. You have a solution-oriented approach, contribute to a positive work environment, and are confident in taking responsibility. With us, you need to be able to handle a varying work pace and feel comfortable making independent decisions when the situation requires it.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
