What does the job of a care assistant at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?

A care assistant at Norlandia is a valuable key person, and we are looking for someone skilled in their profession who enjoys meeting people in various situations. Together with the team of nurses, rehabilitation staff, and management, we collaborate around the resident to provide a good life every day.

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in the elderly, where your main tasks will be to provide safe and secure personal care. You support the resident in their daily life and create conditions for a safe and meaningful everyday life. As a care assistant, you are responsible for providing residents with high-quality care in accordance with what has been agreed upon in the care plan.

This includes, among other things:

  • Personal care and utilizing residents' own resources.

  • Working according to Norlandia's concept.

  • Documenting according to the Social Services Act; maintaining social journals and establishing and following up on care plans.

  • Receiving and performing delegated tasks, such as medication delegation.

  • Taking responsibility in representative roles.

  • Actively participating in the organization's quality and improvement work.

About Norrelid Elderly Home

Norrelid Elderly Home is located in central Växjö at Pär Lagerkvists väg 15. Norrelid has 72 apartments distributed across eight units, four of which are intended for individuals with dementia.

  • You need to have proof of the right to use the professional title of care assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare.

  • It is an advantage if you have previous experience in care and support.

  • You need to have good documentation skills.

  • You must have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

  • We prefer that you have good computer skills.

  • We want you to have a good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations.

Additional information

Employment type: Permanent position.

Extent: 93%.

Schedule: Night (21:00-07:00).

Start date: By agreement.

Probationary period: We apply a 6-month probationary period.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
