This staffing is a collaboration between us at Manpower and our client. You will be employed by Manpower but will work on-site with the client in Västerås.

About the job as a green space worker

As a green space worker, you will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Västerås cemeteries. You will work outdoors in varying weather conditions and contribute to creating a pleasant and respectful environment for visitors. The work is physical and varied, involving both plant care and maintenance of graves.

Your tasks:

• Mowing, trimming, and edging.
• Pruning bushes and trees.
• Leaf removal in the autumn.
• Planting seasonal flowers and perennials at memorial sites and graves.
• Weeding, watering, and fertilizing.
• Basic maintenance of graves, such as removing wilted flowers and cleaning as needed.

• Location: Västerås
• Start: April or May
• Assignment length: Seasonal employment
• Working hours: Weekdays 07:00-16:00

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, responsible, and enjoys working outdoors. You have a good ability to collaborate and are attentive in your interactions. The role requires good physical fitness as the work involves heavier tasks.

Requirements for the position:

• Driver's license and access to a car
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Able to work physically and handle heavier tasks.

Meritorious:

• Experience in cemetery work or gardening.
• Education in green space management.
• Familiarity with handling machinery and tools.
