About Us

Arboga Municipal Technology AB (AKTAB) is a wholly owned municipal company responsible for the management and operation of the municipality's land and infrastructure, properties, facilities, cleaning, and catering.

The Operations and Production Department performs ongoing maintenance of the municipality's and municipal companies' water and sewage networks, roads, parks, and recreational facilities and has its own workshop. Within AKTAB, there are also resources tasked with conducting investigations, planning, design, and project management of the projects carried out by the Operations and Production Department.

Our work is visible, important, and directly contributes to the daily lives of residents.

Your Mission

As a park worker, you will help create well-maintained, safe, and attractive outdoor environments. The work is varied and is carried out both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues and management.

Job tasks include:

• Maintenance of parks, green areas, school yards, and public land.
• Planting and maintenance of flower beds, shrubs, and grass areas.
• Weeding, watering, and outdoor cleaning.
• Lawn mowing, trimming, and hedge trimming.
• Maintenance and supervision of playgrounds.
• Tree pruning and simple tree care measures.
• Simple repairs and maintenance.
• Snow removal and ice control in winter.

You will work with both hand tools and machinery and contribute by reporting damages, wear, and other operational needs. On-call duty may be included.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Education in park, gardening, or green space management or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of experience in practical green space maintenance.
• Training and/or experience in tree pruning and tree care.
• Good machinery skills.
• Driver's license B (manual transmission).
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

• Chainsaw license A/B/C/E
• Brush cutter RA/RB
• Work on roads 1-1, 1-4
• Hot work
• Lift/sky lift
• BE driver's license
• Operator's license for wheel loaders
• Experience with digital documentation

Conditions

Full-time. Permanent. A six-month probationary period may apply. On-call duty may be included. Start date by agreement.

Monthly salary. Individual salary setting.
