Unit for Community Services, Meal Service

Meal Service in Västervik Municipality is looking for warehouse staff for our grocery store, located at Ludvigborg School's central kitchen.

Your Responsibilities

As a warehouse employee, you are an important part of our operations. You will work with receiving and/or forwarding goods. The main tasks involve picking, packing, and preparing various goods for our internal customers in the municipality.

Other tasks include:

Working in refrigerators and freezers when picking goods
Picking orders and preparing deliveries
Placing orders with our main wholesaler
Providing feedback on incorrect deliveries
Contacting our customers and carriers for deliveries
Sorting and labeling products
Maintaining order in the warehouse and store
Inventory and reporting deliveries
Ensuring that routines are followed and that self-checks are conducted and documented
Cleaning and dishwashing are also a natural part of the job

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with education in restaurant and food programs or sales and service programs, or relevant education/competence/experience that the employer deems equivalent. Experience in warehousing, logistics, or food handling (HACCP) is an advantage.

As a person, you are structured, self-driven, have good teamwork skills, and a service-oriented attitude. You can maintain a good mood even when the pace is high and can flexibly switch between different tasks. We value qualities such as being solution-oriented and curious to learn new things.

You also have a high level of personal maturity as the job as a warehouse employee means you have the overall overview and responsibility for the warehouse and orders. You have the ability to think outside the box and contribute ideas to improve logistics, create more efficient routines, and minimize waste in the warehouse. It is important to us that you are meticulous and have great respect for the products.

For this position, basic computer skills are required as we work in several systems. There will be opportunities for training in these. You must also be proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

This is an active job, and there may be heavy lifting and a lot of movement – perfect for you who like to stay active!

Other Information

A B driver's license with experience in manual transmission is a requirement for the position. You must also be able to present a police record extract when offered employment.

Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday with a rotating schedule: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
