Occupational Therapist at Kalmar County Hospital
We offer you a responsible, varied, and interesting job as an occupational therapist within occupational therapy at Kalmar County Hospital, focusing on geriatric inpatient care.
You will work closely with physiotherapists and the staff on the ward to assist geriatric patients with various diagnoses and complex needs. Many have cognitive disorders. The working method is structured and done in teams. You provide early and professional care through assessments and interventions. You perform both activity and cognitive assessments.
As an occupational therapist, you will initiate interventions aimed at facilitating a return home for continued training or adaptation.
You will be part of a workgroup characterized by collaboration, experience, and creativity.
Working hours are scheduled during weekdays from Monday to Friday.
About You
We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. As a person, you have a positive attitude, understand the importance of good communication, and always prioritize the patient's best interests. You take initiative, are flexible, and can adapt to changing circumstances. Furthermore, you have the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively and possess an empathetic approach. You want to be involved in improving the organization while developing within your profession. We prefer candidates with experience in similar settings. Personal suitability is highly valued.
Your Future Workplace
Rehab Söder is tasked with providing citizens in southern Kalmar County with rehabilitative services at both specialist and primary care levels. The unit is also responsible for the region's dietitian services in the southern part of the county and for the social work services at Kalmar County Hospital. Services should be provided in collaboration with other healthcare providers and the patient's social network when necessary. The goal is for our services to lead to maintained or improved health.
Kalmar County Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. It is an acute hospital with specialist care, maternity care, and postnatal care.
