The municipality's operations unit is facing a period of development, and we have set high goals to deliver safe and passable roads as well as good delivery reliability of our water to create security and trust among the residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Operations Manager for Water and Wastewater, you will be a key person whose main responsibility is to prepare, facilitate, and follow up on the implementation of operations. You have a central role in leading, developing the work, planning, prioritizing, following up on interventions, allocating resources, and ensuring that the work is carried out safely and with high quality.

The role is both operational and coordinating; you will follow up on daily operations and prepare larger jobs together with the operations planner, operations support technician, and sometimes the Technical Unit or Process Unit. You will lead the operational staff in practical work and are expected to do this in the field, close to the operations, where you can directly ensure that your plans and instructions are implemented in reality. You are expected to monitor the external environment to adapt routines to new technologies or materials.

In this role, you are expected to be able to join the emergency preparedness organization after the employer has ensured suitability and qualifications.

This is a vital societal mission where you, together with your team, ensure that residents have access to our most important food, clean water.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a documented experienced leader with relevant technical education. For the position, it is required that you have previous experience in municipal water and wastewater operations or equivalent. You enjoy being close to the operations and ensure that planning and implementation go hand in hand, and you possess knowledge of Bas P/U to ensure that the work is carried out safely and according to applicable regulations.

You have the ability to create engagement and give clear instructions directly where the work is taking place, while also supporting and developing employees through a coaching approach. You are structured, plan, and follow up to achieve the best results, and you actively contribute to improving work methods and strengthening team spirit. Since emergency preparedness is part of your position and the response time in case of alarms is one hour, you should reside in the Stenungsund area.

A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position.
