On Gotland, there are several special accommodations distributed across six locations.

We who work here have the mission to help the elderly around the clock with various interventions to provide the conditions for living a meaningful and dignified life. With the user at the center, we work with individual implementation plans, where the work is planned and executed based on our values: trust, care, and participation.

Syréngården is a dementia care home located centrally in Roma, about twenty kilometers from Visby. The accommodation has 19 places distributed over two floors. We have a large mature garden with walking paths, a nice pavilion, and close to forest areas.

Syréngården is certified in the Silviahemmet care philosophy, which shapes our working methods. We have nursing assistants, residential assistants, nurses, a unit manager, and rehabilitation staff working closely together.

We are now looking for a nursing assistant for night shifts.

Your responsibilities

As a nursing assistant at Syréngården, you will work with your colleagues to motivate and stimulate the elderly to maintain their habits and routines through a rehabilitative approach. You will perform regular care tasks with the interventions the elderly need in their daily lives, such as personal care, medication, delegated health care tasks, household chores, and various activities based on needs.

You will work nights and occasionally evenings when there are workplace meetings (APT).

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. To be employed as a nursing assistant, you must have the right to use the protected professional title according to current regulations.

We prefer that you have previously worked in the nursing profession and/or elderly care and that you have experience with night work.

Since the unit handles cognitive/medical disabilities, BPSD (Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms in Dementia) and palliative care, it is also advantageous if you have experience in these areas.

As a person, you are secure in yourself and in your professional role. You work in a structured manner, enjoy collaborating with others, and have the ability to adapt your approach to different people and situations. You are flexible and see everyday challenges as opportunities to learn and develop, and you are curious about new working methods. You actively contribute to the development of the organization, both independently and together with colleagues.

It is important that you are proficient in the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as all communication and documentation is conducted in Swedish.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability according to the competencies described above.

As part of Region Gotland, we work in the social administration with social interventions such as counseling, support, and treatment. Our areas of operation include social services, home healthcare, elderly care, and care for people with disabilities throughout Gotland.
