At Scandic Star Lund, in the heart of Skåne, we have created our own piazza inspired by the Skåne market trade. We are one of southern Sweden's leading meeting venues with conference facilities for over 400 people in our own theater and seating for 450 dinner guests in the banquet hall.

We are now looking for a Receptionist for Scandic Star Lund.

What does the role involve?
As a receptionist, you are responsible for ensuring that our guests receive world-class service. You are the spider in the web, ensuring that the guest is always the focus. You go through the arrival list and pay attention to the details. You ensure that the guest's wishes are fulfilled. You always have a smile on your face and a creative solution up your sleeve. You solve most issues and are a star at turning an unhappy guest into a satisfied one. Your workplace is our lobby, as that is where you meet most guests. Your responsibilities also include administrative work, safety work, and sales tasks.
The work in the reception involves checking in and out hotel guests, welcoming them, and providing the information they need about their stay. You handle bookings in the Opera Cloud system and manage administrative tasks related to guests and safety. All work is carried out with guest satisfaction and sales in focus.
The hotel is open 24/7, so it is important that you enjoy working shifts (mornings, afternoons, and weekends).
Who are you?
To fit into the role, we believe you have well-developed social skills and can manage multiple things happening at once. It is very important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel’s guests.
You also have experience and knowledge of working with computers as a tool.
Since the job largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. If you speak another language, it is an advantage.
However, the most important are your personal qualities and attitude. To fit into the role, you need to be a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes significant responsibility for your tasks and the overall result.
Information about the position
The position is a 1-year part-time temporary position.
We apply a probationary period. Your immediate supervisor will be the reception manager. The position includes shifts during the day and weekends. Start date in early April 2026.
