About the Position
As a facility technician with us, you are a central part of our operations as you have the opportunity to facilitate our clients' everyday lives. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for the daily supervision and operation of our correctional facility in Kumla, but tasks may arise within our entire regional property portfolio. Travel is therefore part of the job.
As a facility technician, you will work independently and represent Specialfastigheter daily on your own. Collaboration with clients as well as with technical managers, other colleagues, and contractors is a central part of the job. In ongoing management, you are responsible for daily operations, corrective maintenance, conducting authority inspections, physical and digital rounds, ordering and following up on services performed, as well as minor customer orders & invoice handling.
Examples of tasks included in the position:
- Perform corrective maintenance
- Implement and follow up on operational optimization measures from an energy and cost perspective
- Conduct systematic fire protection work (SBA)
- Order and participate in mandatory inspections and assessments
- Maintain ongoing contact with clients, colleagues, and contractors
- Report and update cases in our case management system
- Conduct other inspections and rounds

About You
To be successful in this role, we believe you have experience in independently performing corrective maintenance and inspections. In addition, we would like you to have:
- Education in facility technology or equivalent competence acquired in another way
- Previous experience in a role such as facility technician, HVAC installer, electrician, ventilation installer, or another role deemed relevant for the position.
- General good knowledge and understanding of property technical systems and how they interact
- Good ability to communicate in Swedish in speech and writing, as this is used in daily work.
- Good computer skills and experience with, for example, overarching control systems, case management systems, orders, and similar as well as invoice handling.
- Some experience in a role as an orderer and handling warranty cases
- A valid driver's license (B) is required

Location
You will be part of the Property Area Mitt with a local office in Örebro. Your primary work area is the correctional facility in Kumla, but travel to and from properties within the property area may occur. Since our operations are nationwide, travel outside your area may also occur.

Recruitment Process
We will begin the selection process after the application period has ended. We will then contact relevant candidates to schedule interviews. Prior to a potential employment, we will conduct a special security assessment where we perform a security interview and review final judgments from Swedish courts. Before employment, we also conduct alcohol and drug tests through our occupational health service. Additionally, some of our clients may require placement in a security class and subsequent background checks in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585 chapter 3).
